Once upon a time, a giant snake came out of the well and killed people and animals, ravaged the land and caused drought and famine.
The people of the country asked the giant Bohbilegt, a good wrestler of the country, to slay the giant snake and save them from danger. Behbilegt was a very helpful and compassionate person, so he rushed out of the house to save the people from danger. So, I picked up a large stone from the stones of Bulgan Mountain and went towards the snake.
The stone was too heavy for him, so he rested on a mountain. The mountain he sat on had a square top like a chair, so it was called the Golden Chair. So when he took the stone and stood up, he hit the ground and shouted “Shu Shaa”, so that plain was called Shu Shaa Plain. When he touched the ground with his hand, 5 mountains were formed by the fingerprints of his hand. He called the 5 mountains 5 teeg.
So the good man went to the well where the snake came out of Buhbilegt, after fighting with the snake for several days, he defeated it and pressed the stone he had brought on the snake’s head, which he thought was the famous Taihar stone.
But when the snake tried to get out from under the stone, Behbilegt put his beloved bow and arrow on the stone, and the snake was about to move. From a high place, a bow and arrow can be seen above the Taihar stone.
But also, the snake was killing people by wrapping its tail around it, so Bohbileg took the top of a mountain and placed it on its rope, and the danger of the snake ended and the people were saved from the danger of death. The top of that small mountain is 5 km away from Taihar Stone and is called Mogoin Togolgi. All these places are now located in Ikhtamir district of Arkhangai province.
