Investment bank Piper Sandler recently released its biannual Taking Stock With Teens report.
Here’s what teenagers are interested in and using today, who will shape future market trends.
10,000 children in the United States participated in this survey and answered a variety of questions.
Here, questions and answers related to the use of social media have attracted the attention of market researchers and investors. The most popular social service used by American teenagers is Snapchat. 35 percent of respondents said they prefer Snapchat, 30 percent TikTok, and 22 percent Instagram.
However, only 2 percent use either Facebook or Twitter.
While the Twitter platform is used by politicians, journalists and celebrities, Facebook is mainly used by Baby Boomers, or those born between 1946 and 1964.
Instagram is the most popular platform among American teenagers, with 81 percent of respondents saying they use it to some extent.
